Representatives of GreenSync (specialists in integrating power grids, distributed generation and storage) recently visited the Magefekt Research and Development Centre. All GreenSync representatives commented on how the small, safe, powerful and lightweight Tardis battery opens up a range of new opportunities for energy storage installations, particularly where space is a premium. All were particularly impressed on how the low internal resistance of the battery meant it remained cool to touch and therefore could be placed in small enclosures inside or outside buildings without the need for specific cooling to manage heat or humidity. GreenSync representatives were advised that unlike a number of other batteries on the market that stopped working when AC power goes down, the Tardis batteries were designed to enable full UPS (uninterrupted power supply) functionality.
