The Tardis has the smallest dimension to energy storage ratio of any Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) battery in the world as far as we know.

Being up to 50% smaller than other equivalent Lithium Ion battery solutions and up to 80% smaller than other equivalent Lead Acid batteries means they can fit in small, out of sight, spaces for commercial and home energy storage use.

The Tardis battery can operate within a broad temperature range without significant performance deterioration, unlike Lead Acid products. Our recommended temperature range for this high-performance battery is -10 ⁰ C to +60⁰ Celsius.

Our proprietary manufacturing process allows us to change the capacity or voltage of the battery by changing its height ie to change a 70 Amp hour (Ah) battery to 110 Amphr the height of the battery increases from 105 mm to 160 mm. This means our current size and form can be easily tailored to our customer’s need.

The dangers of lead-acid chemistry such as dealing with sulphuric acid and volatile gases i.e. hydrogen and hydrogen sulphide, requires external placement and venting. However, the Tardis battery does not require similar external ventilation nor give off harmful gases, even when damaged.

We only use stainless steel cylindrical cells in production even though competitors often use plastic satchels filled with similar LFP formulas. This ensures our batteries can cope with significant temperature variations, remain safe from fire and explosion and do not sustain fire even when exposed to extreme conditions.

Our batteries can deliver 100% of its rated Ah capacity. However, lead acid is only able to deliver 55% of its nominally rated Ah capacity. This is due to significant voltage drop as the lead acid battery capacity is reduced, making various application unavailable. Therefore, lead acid batteries usually require nearly twice the Ah ratings of LFP batteries.
