MagEfekt uses Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP or LiFePO4) cells in all its batteries. This chemistry was chosen after careful consideration of the alternatives. It was felt that the company needed to choose a chemistry that had the following properties: It was reliable, long lasting, safe and had very good energy storage capabilities.
The LFP cells were considered best at achieving this requirement. Other chemistries were considered too volatile, had shorter life expectancy or were more designed as power batteries than energy storage batteries.
